Requirements

This is a key role within our company and is suited to an individual committed to achieving the highest standards.  You will work closely with our current Purchasing and Logistics Manager (retiring after 20 years of service).  You will be trained in all aspects of the role and will take on a significant amount of the workload in due course.

The role has scope and opportunity for development and promotion over time.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Procurement of parts and supplies, including bespoke engineered items.
  • Liaising with Suppliers, building strong relationships and managing quality of supply
  • Inventory control including physical stock counts, movement and management of stock in ERP system and maintaining robust stock control procedures and best practices
  • Goods receiving including raising Vendor Return Forms (VRFs) for non-conforming goods.
  • Shipping of our equipment to UK and rest of the world and working closely with our logistics partners
  • Dispatching goods from the ERP System and working with Finance Division to complete the transaction and ensure accurate inventory posting.
  • Export control and dealing with customs queries.
  • Inputting entries in SAGE 200 (Despatch of goods, receipt of goods and executing vendor returns and partial acceptance of goods).
  • Kit list fulfilment for production.
  • Bill of material management for existing and new products, mitigating supply chain risks.
  • Stock control on ERP and understanding valuations and movements.
  • Material Planning (MRP) for buying stock in advance and within lead times.
  • Issuing Works Order to Production.
  • Closing Works Order upon completion of the manufacture of the product.
  • Ensuring accuracy of sales orders (new sales, rentals and repairs) raised and allocating inventory and finished goods by serial number.
  • Management of rental assets and movement worldwide.
  • Performing Audits of Works Order – including “History Management and Change Management”.
  • Support in our Annual Audit – providing information for Auditors and Controllers.

  Qualifications

  • A good educational background preferably to HND/degree level or qualified by experience.
  • Experience of working with MRP or ERP systems.
  • Technologically astute.
  • Strong spreadsheet and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work accurately and to detailed level.
  • Planning and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude.
  • Good language (verbal and written) skills, English is essential.
  • Computer skills including spreadsheets, SAGE 200 an advantage.
  • Driving licence is preferred.
