Overview

For use with the Echoscope^® range of real-time 3D sonars, the CodaOctopus^® Underwater Survey Explorer (USE) software will enable you to view the subsea scene in the highest definition possible and has been developed specifically to provide significant productivity and result processing capability. Now, with our unique Volume Rendering engine and further enhanced by optional software modules and application-specific solutions, USE can be used for a host of subsea projects to increase productivity and enhance underwater visualization.

The USE Professional (USE Pro) allows the user to access all available functionalities. It captures all software features for optimizing the visualization of Echoscope^® 3D data with options for live tagging and full editing of markers, simultaneous export to third-party navigation systems, beam-by-beam editing, alongside a number of Digital Terrain Model (DTM) output methods and Volumetric Rendering engine which enables data to be rendered as a textured model with much higher resolution than normal and a more efficient memory storage.

Version 8 of our USE software program now offers new and exciting features to further increase efficiencies in subsea projects. The Automatic Pan & Tilt Tracking function automatically maintains a designated fixed point within the center of the real-time 3D data display screen, as the vessel or ROV then moves around it. The latest version of USE Pro is also now compatible with our 4G Performance pack offering interleaving ping mode and an increased ping rate to 20Hz.

Significant advantages to USE editions can be made by adding optional software modules or through application specific packages. The Baseline Comparison module, an additional module which automatically compares on-line and recorded data of the same area using our Difference Engine to make immediate comparisons and identify new or removed underwater features, can be added either at the time of order or by upgrading at a later date. Application specific software packages, such as CodaOctopus^® Construction Monitoring Solution (CMS), for marine construction monitoring, provide a unique feature set to increase concrete block placement productivity during breakwater construction.
