Coda Octopus wins the Create in Shenzhen 2016 competition

We are pleased to announce that Coda Octopus has been declared the overall winner of the Create in Shenzhen 2016 competition.

The aim of this competition was to detect creative, digital or technical companies based in Edinburgh or The Lothians that are ready to venture into China with creative and commercial enterprise in mind. Invest Edinburgh’s objective of this was to demonstrate the innovation of the chosen companies and introduce them to the Chinese business culture and practice in Shenzhen.

The Create in Shenzhen competition judging panel, consisting of City of Edinburgh Council, China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), Scottish Development International’s (SDI) Shenzhen office and the Shenzhen Creative Investment Group (SCIG), recognized Coda Octopus for its unique and cutting edge underwater technology (its real-time 3D Sonar and utility oriented visualization software package) and valued it as having the highest creative and market ready products that can be delivered to the Chinese market.

Winning this competition includes a visit to Shenzhen in May 2016, where Coda Octopus will demonstrate its leading technology, the Echoscope® sonar hardware and software.

Winning the Shenzhen competition also gives Coda Octopus the opportunity to find local partners to work with in the Shenzhen area and also help to bring new technology and capability to its local partners and customers in China.
